Introtek International - Non-Invasive Detection of Air Bubbles, Liquid Levels, Blood Component and Pressure-Occlusion

Introtek International® has produced non-invasive ultrasonic air bubble detectors, continuous liquid level sensors, optical blood component detectors, and now, pressure occlusion detectors for medical device manufacturers in addition to thousands of companies in dozens of other industries including, chemical processing, pharmaceutical development, clinical laboratories, and food and beverage manufacturers.

Introtek sensors utilize a patented pulse-type ultrasonic technology that detects air bubbles, air-in-line, and liquid levels with the highest degree of accuracy and reliability, thereby maintaining an extremely high MTBF. Additionally, Introtek sensors are not susceptible to the limitations exhibited by continuous wave, capacitive, or load-cell sensors.

PULSE-TYPE ULTRASONIC SENSORS

The FDA is under enormous pressure to ensure medical device safety. Every aspect of a new device is closely scrutinized before receiving a 'passing grade'. For over 25 years, Introtek International® has continually gained recognition by teaming up with medical device manufacturers to ensure quality and reliability with regard to the implementation of patented, pulse-type ultrasonic sensors. New trends in the medical device industry are constantly emerging and Introtek has been there every step of the way.

BLOOD COMPONENT DETECTION SENSOR

In 2006, Introtek was 'ahead of the curve' by successfully introducing the Blood Component Detection Sensor. The BCD® sensor is precisely calibrated to detect one-percentile of blood component in a solution. While the industry is trending toward fluidic cassettes for some applications, Introtek once again answered the call in the first quarter of 2007 with the design of the reflective, ultrasonic Point-Air Detection Sensor, or commonly referred to as the PAD® Sensor.

CONTINUOUS LEVEL DETECTOR

During the third quarter of 2007, Introtek launched the Continuous Level Detector, or CLD® to accurately monitor fluid levels in containers and tanks by delivering an analog output signal.

PRESSURE-OCCLUSION SENSOR

Introtek has already generated interest in the medical device industry with the introduction of a new product in the first quarter of 2008 with the Pressure-Occlusion Sensor, or PRO®. The Pressure-Occlusion Sensor was designed to non-invasively monitor positive and negative pressure caused by occlusion in soft tubing.
