Kontron's double-digit growth continues through 2008

Sales growth last year of around 11% to approximately EUR 495 million. New sales record of almost EUR 140 million in Q4 continued high level of order backlog of over EUR 290 million.
Eching, Germany, January 19, 2009 - Kontron AG, one of the world's leading providers of embedded computer systems, continued its double-digit growth in the 2008 financial year, thereby fully achieving its forecast.
Sales in 2008 rose by around 11% year-on-year to approximately EUR 495 million (previous year: EUR 446.5 million). This growth is considerably higher when adjusted for currency effects. In particular, Q4 sales of around EUR 139 million represented a new record level. This corresponds to nominal growth of approximately 13% compared with the same period of the previous year (EUR 123.9 million). The order book as of the year-end also remained at a high level of over EUR 290 million (previous year: EUR 268 million).
Kontron AG will publish detailed annual figures at its balance sheet press conference to be held on March 24 in Munich.
