Haselmeier has announced the opening of its new office in the Boott Cotton Mills at 126 John Street, Suite 11, Lowell, Massachusetts 01852.

A downtown Lowell landmark and part of Lowell National Park, the newly restored, historic 19th century textile mill is located 25 miles north of Boston, between Logan International Airport and Manchester Boston Regional Airport.

The location provides easy access for US and international clients, vendors and visitors.

The move is due to Haselmeier’s growth in the last year and will enable the company to maintain closer contact with its customers.

Lowell, Massachusetts was chosen for its central location within a growing medical device region and its proximity to the University of Massachusetts Lowell with its globally recognised engineering programmes.

Lowell also has the Massachusetts Medical Device Development Centre (M2D2), a collaboration of state, private and academic resources supporting emerging medical technology and device start-ups.

Haselmeier president Robert Kilgore said: "The relocation offers Haselmeier Inc access to leading pharmaceutical companies and leading research universities.

"The new office permits Haselmeier to achieve a greater presence in the medical device industry in the US and offer our US customers a higher level of support."

Business Development director Terry O’Hagan said: "Our move to Lowell, MA will accommodate the continued growth of our US business.

"The space will accommodate increased staff and has been designed to create open, collaborative workspaces for our design teams.

"Varied meeting and conference spaces will provide our clients with a higher level of service."
