Nanofilm - Surface Metrology Instruments

Nanofilm provides different surface inspection tools for the materials research, biochip area and pharmaceutical and health research. Our systems enable marker-free detection of molecular interaction and protein interaction. Nanofilm also provides customer specific solutions for research and quality control issues.

Nanofilm develops, manufactures, and distributes instruments and accessories for analysis and microscopy of surfaces in the field of material research, biochips, flat panel displays, Langmuir-Blodgett research, etc.

Beginning in 1991 with the first commercial Brewster Angle Microscope, we have consistently expanded our line of novel instrumentation and accessories to various unique ellipsometers.

SPR - IMAGING ELLIPSOMETER

Nanofilm's imaging ellipsometer uses the surface plasmon resonance effect to receive an extremely high contrast. The EP³SPR allows the label-free detection of binding specificity, kinetics and affinity constants. It is in use for many applications like: antibody-antigen reactions, protein-drug interaction, peptide-protein reaction, quality control of microarrays, and many more.

The instrument is also in use for surface metrology, such as visualizing film thickness and refractive index of ultra-thin films for materials research and biochip technology.

S-SENS®K5 - PROTEIN INTERACTION BIOSENSOR

The surface acoustic wave-based biosensor allows easy detection of molecular interactions, like identifying single mutations of cancer gene fragments, human viruses, protein degradation or binding kinetics of e.g. Thrombin with RNA-Aptamers.

The S-sens®K5 system enables marker-free affinity measurements and the detection of molecular interaction kinetics.

The compact table-top unit combines an entirely computerised data acquisition and liquid handling with very user-friendly system-control software. This guarantees easy system handling, and permits the conduct of fully automated experiments.  Simple push-button data conversion allows customised, ORIGIN 7.5-based data analysis and visualisation.

FLOUNDER - SURFACE CHEMICAL PURIFICATION APPARATUS

The new surface chemical purification apparatus is made for removal of surface active impurities from surfactant solutions like tensids or separating surfactants, like lung surfactants for further investigations.
