CASE-FORMING TECHNOLOGY: COMBINED COMPETENCE

Plastic thermoforming for the economic manufacturing of small series, large volume and individual finished units. In contrast to single-sheet technology, double-walled twin-sheet technology makes it possible to combine different thermoplastic plates. Thus the outside and interior shell may show different mould shapes that are automatically welded one to the other during the production procedure. The cavities developing thereby provide outstanding impact-absorbing characteristics. Also double-sided shaped parts and hollow bodies can be manufactured. Tool procurement and / or short-term tool production can also be provided.

Five-axle-milling with automatic tool changing provides precise milling of hard and soft materials. The CNC-steered system is suitable for the production of simple moulds and for the further working on thermo-formed plastic parts. Additional areas of application are 2D / 3Dmodelling and sampling, rapid-prototyping up to serial front panel and material processing. The plant has effective moving ways of 2,400mm x 1,400mm x 1,000mm at a spindle-rotation of up to 30,000 per minute.

The advantages of water jet cutting are obvious: no micro cracks, no deformations, no thermal effects, no hardening by precipitation in the cutting area. The CAD-based plant works in parallel with two cutter heads as well as drilling aggregates for the pre-hole of sandwich-materials. The maximum size of raw materials to be cut is 4,000mm x 2,050mm. Cut depths of 200mm are possible depending on the material. The accuracy hereby amounts to +/-0.1mm.

Furthermore for servicing your project we also provide our know-how of the ROX-owned carpenter's workshop, including CNC profile saw, induction brazing and ultrasonic welding of plastics as well as multi-spindle drillings, assembly works and riveting.
