Thermoforming packaging

Product range for thermoforming applications includes flexible and semi-rigid sterilization packaging materials for all common sterilization methods including EO, irradiation and steam.

Our focus is on developing and manufacturing flexible thermoforming bottom webs for direct seal applications. Uncoated (direct seal) papers and Tyvek® provide superior cost advantage over to coated solutions. At the same time 100% clean peel against bottom film must be ensured for the highest patient safety.

IV-solutions packaging

The WIPAK range for IV-solutions packaging consist of primary and secondary materials. Primary films for single- and multi-chamber applications are both DMF filed products. For OW applications there are standard and high oxygen barrier solutions with peel or tear opening characteristics.

All infusion liquid packaging materials are non-PVC, soft and highly transparent. Films are produced in class 8 clean room environment.

Operation kit - 4SS and continence packaging

Extensive product range for medical applications include materials for flowpack and four-side-seal (4SS) methods.

WIPAK / WINPAK range includes a very wide range of pouches with different designs and sizes incorporating films and both uncoated and coated papers and Tyvek. Pouches may be flat or gusseted and with flat or ribboned seals depending on customer requirements. We have also Window Bags with Tyvek window for operation kit packaging.

WIPAK ecoking material is widely known soft, non-PVC urinary bag material for most demanding continence care applications.

WIPAK and WINPAK are well-known for their technical support. There is technical support people located in all around the world. They can help you on carrying out trials, setting up the packaging machines and doing validations. All this will shorten your development time thus saving you money.

WIPAK and WINPAK follow stringent quality, environment and hygiene requirements. Medical factories are ISO: 9001 and ISO: 14001 certified. Companies have also participated in developing standards ISO: 11607:2006 and EN 868 parts two to ten for the industry and all operations and products comply fully with these standards and norms. All raw materials in use are FDA approved.

WIPAK started the production of medical grade films and pouches in 1975. The company is and has been a pioneer in modern co-extrusion technology. The first co-extrusion machine was designed and installed in 1980.

Today WIPAK and WINPAK are leading manufacturers of flexible multilayer coextruded bottom and top webs for medical applications. Companies utilize all co-extrusion methods available in the market, including new water-quenching technology. Number of film layers range from two up to 11 layers.
