Synergy Health – Applied Sterilisation Technologies (formerly Isotron) is now offering packaging integrity testing to support medical device manufacturers undertaking validation in accordance with ISO 11607 ‘Packaging for Terminally Sterilised Medical Devices’. The new service will include standard tests such as burst and dye penetration, with all offerings adhering to the relevant ASTM guidelines.

Synergy Health currently offers a range of microbiological laboratory tests which are provided by the Applied Sterilisation Technologies section of the business. The introduction of packaging integrity testing is in addition to the existing range of tests which include: ISO 11137 VDmax and method one studies and dose auditing; environmental monitoring, routine bioburden, sterility and endotoxin testing.
