Holger Zeltwanger initially worked at Siemens as a system programmer and then as a technical editor for German and US magazines. In 1992, he founded the international users' and manufacturers' group CAN in Automation (CiA). Since then he has worked as managing director of CiA.
The exchange, management and integration of data between medical devices is steadily being standardised.
