Dario Pirovano

Dario Pirovano joined the medical devices industry over 30 years ago, after graduating from the Polytechnic of Milan with a doctorate in engineering, specialising in bio-engineering. He then worked with Ohmeda, a company producing worldwide anesthesia and intensive care machines. He joined the EC in 1987 and was given the task of drafting the Medical Devices Directive, 93/385/EEC, and 93/42/EEC. He has served as director of regulatory affairs at Eucomed since 2002.
