Patricia W Stone is an associate professor of nursing at Columbia University and director of the Center for Health Policy. She is a leading interdisciplinary health services researcher who examines the impact of organisational factors on clinical patient outcomes such as healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), employee outcomes such as occupational injury, and system outcomes such as costs and efficiency. She is also the principal or co-investigator on several federally funded and foundation-supported grants in these areas.
