Dr Nick West is a consultant interventional cardiologist at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, UK. He trained in cardiology at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and at Green Lane Hospital, Auckland, New Zealand.

He has carried out research in the department of cardiovascular medicine, University of Oxford and the cardiovascular division, Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, US; research interests include vascular biology and diabetic vascular disease and restenosis.
