Vladimir Zharov is professor in the department of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), US. He has a special interest in biomedical engineering with a focus on laser medicine and its integration with techniques such as bionanotechnology and imaging. He has led research into high-resolution optical imaging of individual cancer cells, and laser-based chemosensitivity and radiosensitivity tests.
