Workflow Analysis as a Tool for the Development of Medical Devices
27 August 2010Workflow analysis is used in medical applications for patient flow optimisation, utilisation of equipment and human resources, but it has not yet been used for the development of medical devices.
This white paper discusses how workflow analysis in the development of medical devices can reduce costs, generate optimised products and be an effective tool to bring about new innovations.
The paper also presents an example of engineering in the context of research project INKA, which involves catheter components to demonstrate the role of workflow analysis in product development.
