Allied 100, a distributor of automated external defibrillators (AED) and accessories based in the US, has acquired a 100% stake in Lifeguard Medical Solutions (Lifeguard), one of the largest AED providers in the US.

The acquisition will strengthen Allied 100’s position as the leading provider of AEDs and value-added services in the country.

Allied 100 is a portfolio company of Ridgemont Equity Partners.

The mobile communications company will acquire Withings SAS, a provider of smart health products and services, in a €170m ($191 million) deal.

Zimmer Biomet Holdings, a musculoskeletal healthcare provider, has announced that it will acquire Arizona-based Cayenne Medical to strengthen its sports medicine capabilities and portfolio of technically-advanced soft tissue reconstruction solutions.

Cayenne Medical designs, develops and markets advanced soft tissue reconstruction solutions for the knee, shoulder and extremities.

The acquisition will be completed in June 2016, subject to customary closing conditions.
