Decades ago in Germany, it all started with the FAULHABER coil, the landmark invention by Dr Fritz Faulhaber. The self-supporting ironless rotor coil design paved the way for a new industry that produces millions of motors today.
Coreless DC motors
A Coreless DC motor from MICROMO differs from conventional iron rotor DC motors in that they are equipped with an ironless, self-supporting, skew-wound copper coil. Because of this construction, the rotor is very light and yields a low moment of inertia. The rotor rotates smoothly without cogging.
Brushless DC motors
With MICROMO’s brushless DC motor, the ironless, self-supporting, skew-wound copper coil is a component of the stator. The mechanical commutation system in these motors is replaced by an integrated sensorless electronic unit with speed control. This makes MICROMO’s brushless DC motor a compact, reliable and extremely durable drive solution – perfect for continuous operation.
High-performance one and two-phase stepper motors
MICROMO has a diverse range of extremely high speed, high performance stepper motors. The stepper motors are light and compact, and have low current consumption.
MICROMO represents PiezoMotor (Sweden) products in North America and partners closely with the PiezoMotor team to provide piezo motor solutions to the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) market.
