Notably, cloud was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q4 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of precision and personalized medicine and niche tourism, according to GlobalData.
Of the top leading companies in the medical industry, ResMed had the greatest increase in references for cloud in Q4 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 31 cloud-related sentences in the company's filings - 4% of all sentences - and a decrease of 39% in Q4 2023 compared with Q4 2022. Idexx Laboratories’s mentions of cloud rose by 40% to 7 and Medtronic’s by 33% to 2 and Olympus’s by 33% to 2 and Becton Dickinson and Co’s by 50% to 1.
