Notably, future of work was one of the most frequently referenced themes in Q4 2023, ranking highest in terms of mentions, ahead of 3d printing and renewable energy, according to GlobalData.

Of the top leading companies in the medical industry, Becton Dickinson and Co had the greatest increase in references for future of work in Q4 2023, compared with the previous quarter. GlobalData identified 12 future of work-related sentences in the company's filings - 0.7% of all sentences - and an increase of 50% in Q4 2023 compared with Q4 2022. Coloplast’s mentions of future of work to 8 and DexCom’s by 20% to 6 and Hologic’s by 33% to 6 and Idexx Laboratories’s by 17% to 5.
