Between 15 May and 21 May, 12,943 medtech jobs were posted worldwide by 435 companies, according to the GlobalData jobs analytics tool. This represents a small decrease of 6.5% compared to the 13,852 listings posted last week.
Getinge was once again the most prolific hirer, posting 1,152 jobs. It was yet again followed by Danaher and Bausch Health, which posted 1,014 and 952 jobs respectively.

Bausch Health announced on 24 May that it has commenced a cash tender offer to purchase any and all of its outstanding 7.00% Senior Secured Notes due 2022. Goldman Sachs is acting as the dealer manager in the tender offer, while Global Bondholder Services Corporation has been retained to serve as both the depositary and the information agent.
Meritize portal aims to expand access to training in medtech, other fields
Meritize, a skills-based education and training programme company, has launched Explore Careers, a portal designed to expand access to middle-skills career paths and training. It is designed to help displaced workers and career starters learn about high-demand middle-skill occupations across healthcare, medtech, aviation, information technology and industrials.
The platform centralises information on these industries and occupations to bring transparency to different career paths. The information available includes mean salary, five-year job growth, key job duties and the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the job.
