Office and Administrative Support Occupations came in second with a share of 13% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 64% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent electronic medical record (emr) systems roles include Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations with a 13% share in Q4 2023, Management Occupations with a 11% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in medical industry accounted for 36% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Netsmart Technologies, CIOX Health, GE HealthCare Technologies, MDI Achieve, and Therapeutic Alliances. Together they accounted for a combined share of 36% of all electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new jobs in the medical industry.

Netsmart Technologies posted 52 electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new jobs in Q4 2023, CIOX Health 31 jobs, GE HealthCare Technologies 22 jobs, MDI Achieve 18 jobs, and Therapeutic Alliances 18 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 76.01% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023

The largest share of electronic medical record (emr) systems-related new job postings in the medical industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 76.01% followed by India (10.61%) and Germany (4.04%). The share represented by the US was 14 percentage points lower than the 89.80% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
