Management Occupations, with a share of 26%, emerged as the top remote patient monitoring-related job roles within the medical industry in Q4 2023, with new job postings rising by 26% quarter-on-quarter. Computer and Mathematical Occupations came in second with a share of 13% in Q4 2023, with new job postings dropping by 52% over the previous quarter.

The other prominent remote patient monitoring roles include Installation, Maintenance, and Repair Occupations with a 9% share in Q4 2023, Sales and Related Occupations with a 9% share of new job postings.

Top five companies in medical industry accounted for 84% of hiring activity

The top companies, in terms of number of new job postings tracked by GlobalData, as of Q4 2023 were Koninklijke Philips, Vyaire Medical, Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics, Medtronic, and Baxter International. Together they accounted for a combined share of 84% of all remote patient monitoring-related new jobs in the medical industry.

Koninklijke Philips posted 213 remote patient monitoring-related new jobs in Q4 2023, Vyaire Medical 138 jobs, Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics 109 jobs, Medtronic 97 jobs, and Baxter International 26 jobs, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics.

Hiring activity was driven by the US with a 62.52% share of total new job postings, Q4 2023

The largest share of remote patient monitoring-related new job postings in the medical industry in Q4 2023 was in the US with 62.52% followed by France (4.78%) and Germany (4.20%). The share represented by the US was ten percentage points higher than the 52.56% share it accounted for in Q3 2023.
