Radiology management firm LucidHealth has entered into a partnership with Aidoc to bring advanced radiology artificial intelligence (AI) to healthcare sites in the Midwest region of the US.

LucidHealth claims to be one of the first radiology companies to integrate AI into its radiology practice.

Under the partnership, Aidoc’s AI-powered alerting system combine with LucidHealth’s proprietary workflow software, RadAssist, allowing to prioritise patients urgent, time-critical and life-threatening conditions.

LucidHealth chief medical officer Mark Alfonso said: “LucidHealth is committed to bringing the most advanced, highest quality technological solutions to assist our patients.

“For example, proactive examination for intracranial haemorrhages via AI automatically and immediately flags those cases to the radiologists, allowing them to prioritise and assist in addressing those patients sooner. This reduction in wait time could be life-altering; providing the ability to ensure rapid radiologist inspection and triage for expedited treatment.”

The FDA-cleared solutions of Aidoc identify time-sensitive pathologies and flag them in the radiology worklist including Intracranial haemorrhage, Pulmonary Embolism and C-spine fractures.
