FUJIFILM Medical Systems has introduced a series of technology innovations at the Radiological Society of North America 2016 (RSNA).

The company introduced Synapse VNA version 6.2 which is an application-neutral, highly-scalable content management system for a secured storage and access of all patient imaging contents across the enterprise.

Equipped with workflow tools like EPIC's Haiku and Canto modules mobile application integrated with Synapse VNA Connext Mobile allows seamless, secure capture of point-of-care visible light data in context.

Another streamlined workflow tool fitted into the user interface allows the organisation to configure and customise their enterprise system to suit to their departmental requirements.

FUJIFILM Medical Systems TeraMedica Division vice-president Greg Strowig said: "Once again, we have taken the technology to the next level with our latest version of Synapse VNA featuring new streamlined workflow tools that allow for truly nimble EHR mobile application integration as well as user customisation."

Fujifilm is set to demonstrate the FDR D-EVO GL detector based on Fujifilm's Virtual Grid image processing.

The FDR D-EVO GL with Virtual Grid can produce images with contrast and clarity depending on the exam type and patient.

FDR D-EVO GL features a wider format which improves patient safety and minimises dose with fewer repeats from anatomy cutoff.

Fujifilm will showcase its image processing technology, Dynamic Visualisation II for clear images and aid in the adaptation of processing parameters to accommodate changes in contrast and density owing to dense anatomy, structural obstructions, orthopedic hardware, differences in thicknesses and over and under penetrated areas.

The company will introduce FDR AQRO1, a complete digital radiography system featuring a combination of advanced dose-saving features in detector engineering along with an ultra-lightweight point-of-care mini mobile cart.

Developed as a complete digital x-mobile x-ray system, the FDR AQRO provides low dose acquisition capabilities of Fujifilm's FDR D-EVO II, ISS and noise reduction circuitry, combined with Virtual Grid image processing software which allows acquisition of images without a physical grid.

It is equipped with an exclusive Fujifilm engineered mini generator, a compact tube head mounted on an ultra-lightweight, durable mini mobile cart.

Fujifilm will also unveil its Synapse 5 based on Fujifilm’s PACS technology, featuring an advanced server-side imaging architecture.

Synapse 5 has been designed to offer on-demand access to vast datasets and the ability to immediately interact with the data.
