The new system provides a set of implants for procedures that may require narrower plates and smaller screws which are similar in size and anatomy of small bones within the foot and ankle.

The utility, fracture and procedure specific plates provided by the system are claimed to require minimal manipulation.

Developed to accept both locking and non-locking variable angle plate screws, each screw hole holds a non-locking or locking 2.0mm or 2.5mm screw in sizes ranging from 8mm to 50mm.

The locking screws allow up to 15° off-axis locking placement. Some of the plates also feature compression slots and are compatible with non-locking screws.

The system offers 65 different Baby Gorilla plating options from 13 plating families, such as Straight Plates, L-Plates, T-Plates, Y-Plates, Mesh Plate, Navicular Plates, Cuboid Plates and Akin Osteotomy Plates.

Additional options such as Oblique L-Plates, Oblique T-Plates, Double-Y-Plates, Jones Fracture Compression and Hook Plates as well as 5th Metatarsal Avulsion Fracture Hook Plates are available.

The new fixing system also includes curettes, reduction clamps, osteotomes, plate bending tools, as well as compression and distraction devices for small bone fractures and reconstruction procedures in foot and ankle.
