LumiraDx has obtained CE Marking for its SARS-CoV-2 & Flu A/B Antigen Test. A microfluidic immunofluorescence assay, this test can rapidly detect and distinguish between antigens of influenza A / B and SARS-CoV-2 virus simultaneously from nasal swab samples and delivers results in 12 minutes. It has up to 95.5% and 99.2% positive and negative percent agreement for Covid-19, respectively, versus RT-PCR. The company intends to commence the shipment of the tests in the coming days.

Carolina Liquid Chemistries and Alltests Clinical Solutions have collaborated to supply ACON Laboratories’ Flowflex COVID-19 Antigen Home Test. A rapid antigen self-test, Flowflex can be obtained without needing a physician’s prescription. In October this year, the test received emergency use authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration. The alliance will aid in boosting the availability of the Covid-19 test to users leveraging an established and integrated distribution process.

A Covid-19 testing site in Denver, US has boosted its capacity ahead of Christmas, CBS Denver reported. COVIDCheck Colorado officials said is the only centre that can potentially scale up testing if required. Earlier this week, the downtown site carried out testing for 1,000 individuals and boosted the capability to 3,000 in the following days.
