Todos Medical has signed a sales agreement with a New York laboratory to provide necessary equipment and supplies to carry out around 3,000 Covid-19 tests each day. Todos will deliver automated extraction machines, liquid handlers and PCR machines. The initial contract is worth around $1m monthly for a six-month period.

Quidel Corporation has completed the investigation into the false positives reported at a Vermont testing location. It concluded that there was no site- or product-related issues related to the Sofia 2 instrument or the Sofia SARS Antigen FIA. Previously, the company registered a complaint in Vermont among patients who were later tested and reported negative by PCR testing.

The US Food and Drug Administration has granted Emergency Use Authorisation to NovaSterilis for Nova2200, which can be used to disinfect compatible N95 respirators. This will allow the reuse of the masks and prevent exposure to pathogenic biological airborne particulates amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
