Doctor networking app MedShr has announced a programme to support doctors in Africa and the Middle East in the diagnosis and management of Covid-19. The program will be supported by the Austrian Development Agency in collaboration with Vienna-based business incubator INiTS.
Building on the foundations of the app, which allows doctors to share images and cases to discuss them with colleagues, the programme will deliver interactive educational content designed to directly address the unique challenges faced by healthcare professionals across Africa and the Middle East.

MedShr founder and CEO Dr Asif Qasim said: “So much of the guidance and education currently available focuses on management of patients in well-resourced intensive care departments. We believe it is important to look beyond this, and support healthcare professionals in caring for COVID19 patients in more challenging environments.”
