M&As this week: MedPlast, Krabat, Vitreq


In a move to expand its business operations, MedPlast, an integrated custom plastic processing solutions provider, has acquired Coastal Life Technologies, a producer of sterile and single-use disposable surgical devices.

The acquisition will strengthen MedPlast's finished device assembly capabilities and also adds a manufacturing site in Texas to its existing assets.

Life sciences company AddLife has acquired Krabat, a Norwegian company specialised in developing assistive equipment for children and young people with special needs.

Ophthalmic technology provider Vitreq has been acquired by Beaver-Visitec International (BVI), a provider of ophthalmic and other micro-surgical products.

The acquisition enables BVI to expand its footprint and product offering.
