Forerunner Medical has completed the acquisition of MedSphere Shanghai, a subsidiary of MedSphere International. Both companies manufacture minimally-invasive medical devices.
Medical technology company, Zeltiq Aesthetics, will be sold to Allergan for a purchase consideration of up to $2.475bn.

As per the definitive agreement signed between the two companies, Zeltiq Aesthetics’ flagship product, CoolSculpting System, will be added to Allergan’s global portfolio of medical aesthetics, following the acquisition.
CoolSculpting System is an FDA-cleared product, which reduces unwanted fat using a patented cooling technology.
Diagnostic products provider, Hologic, has signed a definitive agreement to buy the entire outstanding shares of aesthetic treatment systems provider, Cynosure, for $66 a share, which corresponds to an equity value of approximately $1.65bn and an enterprise value of $1.44bn, in cash.
