Tecomet has expanded its capabilities in minimally invasive surgery applications by acquiring Mountainside Medical, a supplier of medical device components and instruments for minimally invasive surgical devices.
Mountainside Medical offers a wide range of precision machined components for the minimally invasive market, including laparoscopic instruments and jaws, orthopedic / neuronavigation instrumentation, and electrosurgical instruments, which have now become part of Tecomets’ product portfolio.

Horizon Scientific has been acquired by Standex International for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will enable Standex to expand its product portfolio and gain access to scientific, bio-medical and pharmaceutical temperature and environmental control markets for which the acquirer supplies laboratory refrigerators, freezers and cryogenic equipment.
By becoming a part of Standex, Horizon will get access to its broader engineering and manufacturing capabilities that help deliver product ideas and customer solutions more quickly.
