The move aligns with Demetra’s mission to offer products that decrease risks of infection and “optimise” hospital efficiency.

Demetra and GetSet Surgical aim to offer integrated solutions that address key healthcare objectives.

The implementation of sterile-packaged disposable implants and instruments mitigates the risk of infections and reduces hospital expenses related to central sterilisation challenges.

This approach is in direct alignment with Demetra’s objective of becoming the preferred provider for operational efficiency and infection management through its subsidiary companies OSARTIS, Tecres, OsteoRemedies and Yijiutai.

As part of its growth strategy, Demetra is focusing on introducing the products of GetSet to the US market.

Demetra Holding CEO Michele Perrino said: “Demetra Holding is proud to spearhead this collaboration, as it aligns perfectly with our mission to enhance healthcare solutions focused on orthopaedic infection management strategies worldwide.

“By combining the innovative capabilities of GetSet Surgical with our existing product offerings, we are striving to create and become the premier choice for surgeons and their patients in the single-use, sterile packaged spinal procedure market.”

The US spine division of OsteoRemedies, a Demetra portfolio company, will manage the US distribution, under the leadership of the newly appointed Spine Commercial vice president Ted Bird.

GetSet’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA)-approved GoPLF! Posterior Lateral Fusion system will initially be available in the US.

The introduction of the GoLIF! Lumbar Interbody Fusion system is expected later this year, pending 510(k) clearance. The development of additional systems will be accelerated by this investment.

Demetra Holding is also focused on expanding GetSet’s products worldwide.

Both GoPLF! and GoLIF! systems, which are CE-marked, are available in international markets as well as in Europe.
