The DrySeal Flex Introducer Sheath has been designed to provide access to hard-to-reach anatomies and branch vessels, such as the common iliac arteries during endovascular repair procedures.
It features flexibility and kink resistance in its operation.
The new sheath is based on Gore’s DrySeal Sheath featuring a hydrophilic coating which improves access into vessels.
The 12 Fr x 45 cm sheath configuration is specifically developed to be used with the GORE EXCLUDER Iliac Branch Endoprosthesis (IBE) for endovascular repair (EVAR) of common iliac artery aneurysms or aortoiliac aneurysms.

By GlobalDataNorth Bristol NHS Trust consultant vascular surgeon Marcus Brooks said: “Nearly a third of patients being considered for EVAR have an aneurysm that extends to the iliac artery.
“The IBE is a trusted solution in such cases, but previously no introducer sheaths designed for use with this device existed.
“With the GORE DrySeal Flex Introducer Sheath, I now have a sheath specifically designed for use with the IBE and flexible enough for easy access to the iliac branch vessels.”
The new sheath is designed with a DrySeal valve which enables the insertion of multiple devices during EVAR procedure while ensuring minimum blood loss.
The GORE DrySeal Flex Introducer Sheath is available in working lengths of 33cm, 45cm, and 65 cm.
