Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in February 2022
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 75.13% in February 2022, a 14.37% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 6.98% in February 2022, marking a 6.82% month-on-month decline. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 6.3% in February 2022, a 43.08% drop from January 2022.

Top five medical companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in February 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average decline of 10.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s medical industry during February 2022 over previous month.
GE Healthcare posted 108 IT jobs in February 2022 and registered a decline of 11.48% over the previous month, followed by Danaher with 78 jobs and a 95% growth. Thermo Fisher Scientific with 71 IT jobs and Becton Dickinson and with 32 jobs, recorded a 35.45% drop and a 17.95% drop, respectively, while Demant recorded a 34.78% decline with 30 job postings during February 2022.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s medical industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s medical industry IT hiring activity with a 64.05% share in February 2022, a 15.51% decrease over January 2022. China featured next with a 9.88% share, down 40.82% over the previous month. Australia recorded a 6.81% share, a drop of 9.09% compared with January 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in February 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 60.14%, down by 19.22% from January 2022. Mid Level positions with a 28.45% share, registered a decline of 8.74% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.9% share, down 28.89% over January 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.51%, recording a month-on-month growth of 50%.
