Eurobio Scientific has launched two tests, namely EBX 060, a viral test to diagnose simian pox, varicella and measles viruses, and EBX 048, which is for the screening of Covid-19 and current variants.
The EBX 060, Eurobioplex Monkeypox Screening Test (hMPXV, VZV, Measles) is a real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR2) test.

The EBX 060, Eurobioplex SARS-CoV-2 Fast-SVT has been specifically developed for routine screening of Covid-19 and variants, including the Omicron BA.1, BA.2 and BA.4/BA.5 variants.
A single test detects the K417N (Omicron variant BA.x sublineage screening), and S:V213G (Omicron variant BA.2 and BA.4/BA.5 sublineage screening) mutations.
It also detects the L452R (BA.4/BA.5 sublineage screening in the presence of the S:V213G mutation) mutations.
The company stated that the three mutations’ presence enables the differentiation of BA.4/BA.5 sublineages from other Omicron variant sublineages.

By GlobalDataIn a press statement, Eurobio Scientific stated: “These new tests, designed and developed by Eurobio Scientific’s R&D department, are produced in-house, in its premises in Les Ulis, France, and follows the ISO 13485 regulatory process.
“It is available in several versions, allowing 25, 50, 100, 200 or 600 determinations to be performed simultaneously.”
It also noted that the two tests are immediately available in their CE-IVD and research use only (RUO) versions for hospitals and private laboratories in France as well as around the world.
Last December, the company obtained CE mark for its EBX 047 test, the Eurobioplex SARS-CoV-2 Fast Screening and Variants Detection (SVD) test.
