Honeywell has released a new technology solution, Safe Triage Pro, to help emergency responders provide faster and more accurate on-scene support and diagnosis.
Developed by Honeywell Intelligent Life Care and UK-based Safe Patient Systems, Safe Triage Pro is a fully-automated, hand-held triage solution designed to provide fast and effective delivery of patient information to hospitals, improving clinical governance and patient safety.

The device will deliver secure, real-time patient data, helping to treat mass casualties, as well as day-to-day emergency response incidents.
West Midlands Ambulance Service clinical director of helicopter emergency medicine Tony Bleetman said the Safe Triage Pro has transformed the ability of its Air Ambulance crews to quickly capture and share crucial victim data.
Honeywell Intelligent Life Safety managing director Mark Ayton said that a quick response with effective triaging is crucial with respect to unexpected medical emergencies.
"A fast and automated way to collect vital patient data and relaying it back to the receiving hospital in real-time is particularly beneficial in supporting clinical decisions and improving patient care," Ayton said.

Honeywell is also launching a second Safe Triage "Lite" version that integrates the communication technology to allow remote medical diagnosis and support those working in challenging and hard-to-reach air, sea or land locations.
Safe Triage Lite also comprises a comprehensive medical and drugs database, providing non-medically trained users fast access and easy to follow expert medical assistance and guidelines.
Due to the fast remote support, the device can help organisations and healthcare providers save money and time by reducing expensive and unnecessary detours, evacuations and emergency call-outs.
