Presbia Flexivue Microlens gets Israel registration approval
Ophthalmic-device company Presbia has received medical device registration approval in Israel for its Flexivue Microlens solution for treating presbyopia.
Ophthalmic-device company Presbia has received medical device registration approval in Israel for its Flexivue Microlens solution for treating presbyopia.
The treatment involves implanting a 3mm lens with an edge thickness of approximately 15µminto the corneal stroma of the patient’s non-dominant eye.
To date, more than 500 patients have received the Flexivue Microlens and have reported a satisfaction rate of more than 90%, on average, the company said.
The Flexivue Microlens solution uses standard equipment and requires minimal additional training.
