Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Healthcare Practitioners and Technical Occupations, which accounted for 21% of the total new job postings in Q1 2024 and were up by 170% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 11% and drop by 6% year-on-year, and third highest were Production Occupations, which were 23% of the new job postings and 24% higher year-on-year.

Top five companies in medical industry accounted for 43% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by TotalMed Systems with 23,327, followed by Laboratory Corp of America Holdings with 4,814, while the highest increase was at Abbott Laboratories at 39%.
