Ethicon Endo-Surgery chairman Karen Licitra said the collaboration will help them meet physicians needs for high-performance medical devices, while also providing quality, cost-effective alternatives for hospitals to help save money and reduce waste.

”This aligns strongly with our healthcare system’s goals for transforming patient care and increasing affordability and access in the US," Licitra added.

SterilMed will remain a stand-alone company, focussing on single-use medical device reprocessing market.
