Canon Medical Systems US Marketing vice-president Satrajit Misra said: “As we continue to expand the availability of AiCE, Canon Medical is ensuring that the maximum number of patients can benefit from the advanced images, expanded clinical capabilities, and seamless integration that this advanced AI technology provides.

“In today’s environment, making images easy to read and acquire is more important than ever, and this is the latest demonstration of our commitment to offering accessible AI that clinicians can use to make the greatest impact on patient care.”

Trained using large amounts of high-quality image data, AiCE has a deep learning neural network that can lower noise and enhance the signal to produce sharp, clear and distinct images rapidly with potential for advancements across different imaging exam types.

AiCE on Cartesion Prime Digital PET/CT system can potentially provide faster scan times, lower dose, and improved image quality.

In 2018, Canon Medical brought AiCE DLR technology to CT. It is now offered across numerous CT scanners in its radiology portfolio.

For delivering operational efficiency without any extra steps, AiCE can be seamlessly integrated into routine CT workflow to produce sharp, clear, and distinct images at low doses.

In addition, AiCE DLR is available for almost all types of clinical exams on Canon Medical’s Vantage Orian 1.5T MRI system.

It can scan clinical indications from the prostate to shoulders such as all joints, cardiac, pelvis, abdomen, and spine, along with accelerated scan technologies.

It will enable clinicians who use MR to improve their image quality, performance, and productivity.
