GE HealthCare has unveiled a new cloud-native radiology management system that aims to advance diagnostic workflows and optimise collaboration between radiologists.
The new Radiology Workspace platform integrates Genesis View, an image viewer designed to be accessible from any location.

GE HealthCare said the viewer adapts to individual users reading preferences and automatically displays current and prior studies to save time and reduce cognitive load.
The viewer will also give radiologists the ability to reject or modify AI-based findings provided by third-party AI apps based on their review.
According to GE HealthCare, the system’s efficiencies will help account for radiologist shortfalls and reduce the time radiologists spend on navigating complex interfaces. Research by the American College of Radiology suggests that tasks of this nature comprise 64% of radiologists’ time. Genesis View is currently pending clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Genesis is being showcased at the upcoming Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) 2025 annual meeting, taking place in Chicago from 30 November to 4 December. The impending launch of the system reflects GE HealthCare’s plans to triple its cloud-enabled products by 2028. To solidify these efforts, the company recently announced a $2.3bn deal to acquire Canadian medical imaging software provider Intelerad.

The global diagnostic imaging space is growing at a CAGR of 4.4% and is forecast to reach a valuation of around $81.4bn by 2034, according to GlobalData analysis.
GE HealthCare’s reveal of its new radiology workspace follows a similar move by Philips, one of GE HealthCare’s key rivals in the imaging space. The Dutch imaging giant announced the launch of Image Management 15 on 25 November. Akin GE HealthCare’s upcoming solution, Philips’ management platform includes a web-based imaging viewer that aims to advance how radiologists access and interpret medical images.
