HNL Lab Medicine has developed its digital pathology capabilities since 2023, utilising Proscia’s Concentriq platform alongside Leica Biosystems’ high-throughput imaging hardware.
Incorporating the Ibex AI layer into this infrastructure transitions HNL Lab Medicine’s operations from a digital approach to an AI-augmented practice.
The embedded workflow aims to establish a consistent standard for cancer diagnostics in the US market.
By adding Ibex Prostate, HNL Lab Medicine is expanding its diagnostic tools with specialised AI features. The solution assists pathologists in identifying and grading cancer, as well as other relevant findings in both TURPs and core needle biopsies.
Ibex Prostate serves as a diagnostic aid and safety net, supporting the pathologist’s review process and helping ensure that no suspicious lesion remains unexamined.
The collaboration includes initial validation and deployment of Ibex Prostate within HNL Lab Medicine’s laboratory-developed test (LDT) workflow for prostate cancer.
This deployment sets the groundwork for further development in their partnership, targeting advancements in AI-powered diagnostic solutions.
Ibex Medical Analytics CEO Yair Heller said: “We are thrilled to partner with HNL Lab Medicine, an organisation that exemplifies the future of pathology. HNL Lab Medicine’s ability to operate as a high-volume independent lab while maintaining the clinical rigour of a health system makes them an ideal partner for our technology.
“By integrating Ibex’s AI into their established digital workflow, HNL Lab Medicine is ensuring that their pathologists have advanced tools available to provide timely, high-confidence results for every patient.”
