Ultrasound-guided procedures are considered a key therapy option that can enhance clinical outcome as well as the patient experience across the wide range of MSK conditions and procedures in orthopaedics and regenerative medicine.

“The new UGPro Solution initiative is aimed at enabling musculoskeletal (MSK) practitioners to expand their patients’ clinical options and deliver a more accurate diagnosis and precise treatment.”

Konica Minolta executive vice president of sales for the Americas Eric Sumner said: “By aligning and leveraging our expertise with our customers to meet the growing demand for minimally-invasive outpatient MSK procedures, Konica Minolta will help practitioners build a more sustainable practice that delivers value to the patient and the provider.

“With this initiative, we work alongside our customers to help them master UGP for maximum patient benefit with a common goal to deliver a better way to care.”

Konica Minolta provides ultrasound technology such as the SONIMAGE HS1 and SONIMAGE MX1 in concert with minimally invasive procedural technologies in regenerative medicine and skills-based education to MSK clinicians with a better way to provide care.

The company said that a key element of the UGPro Solution initiative is the integration of SONIMAGE HS1 and SONIMAGE MX1 ultrasound systems, featuring advanced MSK functionality and better image detail and contrast resolution.

At the point-of-care, both systems support needle guidance for interventional procedures and treatment management.
