Leman Micro Devices (LMD) has announced that its V-Sensor technology and e-Checkup app is at an advanced stage of development.
The technology is being trialled by smartphone markers along with simultaneous preparations for regulatory approval for measuring body temperature, amid coronavirus Covid-19 outbreak.

With the help of an e-Checkup-enabled smartphone, which has a thermopile developed into its V-Sensor, reading body temperature becomes possible within seconds by scanning the forehead.
The temperature result, indicated on the phone screen, has no requirement of body contact and is a quick, one-stage process.
Leman Micro Devices claim that individuals can effortlessly check theirs and others temperatures. If the temperature is too high, they can seek medical help.
With the help of an e-Checkup-enabled phone and medically accurate temperature measurement, an individual can call a physician or helpline for advice at any time.

By GlobalDataBesides the body temperature, LMD’s V-Sensor and e-Checkup app can also measure blood pressure (cuffless and calibration-free), blood oxygen level, pulse rate and respiration rate.
Leman Micro Devices CEO Mark-Eric Jones said: “e-Checkup is designed to meet all of the stringent requirements of NMPA as well as FDA and CE for safety, accuracy and reliability, no one is helped by an unreliable solution that has not been certified by regulators.
