Omnia will receive an upfront payment of $26.1m and $5.8m in milestone payments.

The acquisition will provide Cantel access to Omnia’s broad portfolio of dental surgical consumables solutions including sutures, irrigation tubing, and customised dental surgical procedure kits. It will also provide the infrastructure required to establish itself in the global market.
The transaction is expected to be closed by February 2019, subject to customary closing conditions.
Cantel is a dental medical devices company based in the US, while Omnia is also a dental medical devices company based in Italy.
