US-based monitoring solutions provider A&D Medical has introduced its new UltraConnect blood pressure monitors line for retail pharmacists.
The new blood pressure monitors can be operated through a mobile device using the free companion app A&D Connect, which is designed to offer enhanced user interaction with features such as graphing, trending, unlimited memory, reminders, and goal setting.

A Smart Connect feature incorporated into the monitors allows automatic detection and connection to A&D Connect, while offline operation enables subsequent transfer of around 100 readings to the app.
A&D Medical president and CEO Terry Duesterhoeft said: “The new product line leverages our more than four decades of experience in designing and delivering connected products to both the consumer and healthcare spaces, which is precisely where pharmacies sit in the spectrum of healthcare delivery.

The monitors come with a lightweight and tubeless design to allow the users to wear the device on the wrist or arm and transport it easily.

By GlobalDataCompatible with both Android and iOS, the monitors include a bright OLED display to offer illuminated feedback of measurement results, along with multi-user support functionality for five users and a guest.
Duesterhoeft also added that the firm has designed its new line of blood pressure monitors based on extensive consumer feedback for an easy-to-use product that can deliver accurate measurements with the option to optimise data sharing with healthcare providers.
