US-based biologics medical device company NovaBone has secured CE mark approval for its two dental wound dressing products, NovaTape and NovaPlug.
Both NovaTape and NovaPlug are fully composed of collagen and are designed for the management of soft tissue oral wounds and sores, including dental sores, oral ulcers (non-infected or viral), periodontal surgical wounds, suture sites, burns, extraction sites, surgical and traumatic wounds.

Last year, the company’s collagen-based wound dressing products secured the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) 501(k) clearance.
