Siemens Healthcare has unveiled its new product offerings from its entire imaging and therapy portfolio at the 100th conference of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) in Chicago, US.

The company introduced its new Magnetom Amira 1.5-tesla system, which features Eco-Power technology and uses DotGO software to simplify protocol management, offering the right operating sequence for each procedure to suit requirements.

Siemens also exhibited a range of X-ray systems using new MAX technology at the event. Max technology integrates two new detectors, the MAX wi-D and MAX Mini, which can be shared between all MAX systems.

Siemens Healthcare said the new MAX functions are currently available on the systems Ysio Max, Mobilett Mira Max, Luminos dRF Max and Luminos Agile Max.

A new version of Somatom Definition Edge was also showcased at the event. It uses TwinBeam technology to open up the dual energy mode for routine clinical use.

In addition, two new clinical applications for angiography were showcased including syngo Dyna4D and syngo DynaCT Smart.

The syngo Dyna4D enables time-resolved 3D imaging in angiography, allowing visualisation of three-dimensional volume of the vessels and flow behaviour of blood.

The syngo DynaCT Smart removes metal artifacts, allowing physicians to detect bleedings close to metallic objects.
