The engine automatically analyses imaging data and allows radiologists to deliver quick, accurate and comprehensive reports.

Compatible with PACS, RIS, Reporting and EMR systems, the platform is said to enable seamless flow for physicians.

Zebra Medical Vision co-founder and CEO Elad Benjamin said: “These recent regulatory approvals allow us to continue driving adoption of our Analytics Engine globally, where we see significant interest in countries that have a problematic ratio of radiologists per capita.

“Providing tools that assist them in delivering better care is critical and is the driving force behind our mission.

"These recent regulatory approvals allow us to continue driving adoption of our Analytics Engine globally, where we see significant interest in countries that have a problematic ratio of radiologists per capita."

The Deep Learning Analytics Engine currently analyses CT data for signs of fatty liver, excess coronary calcium, emphysema, low bone density and vertebral compression fractures.

In the near future, the firm intends to add more than 12 new algorithms to the engine for the detection of life-threatening diseases.

The platform can be deployed in both cloud and on-premise configurations.

It enables healthcare organisations to identify chronic diseases earlier, providing them with the opportunity to determine preventative care programmes and improve the service provided, while minimising the overall treatment costs.
