Ingenia Elition features the new patient sensing technology and SmartExam analytics powered by artificial intelligence (AI) to automate planning, scanning and processing of MR exams for optimised workflow.

Philips MR business leader Arjen Radder said: “As value-based care initiatives challenge healthcare organisations to drive better outcomes, radiology departments are specifically caught between ever-increasing imaging volume demands.

“Philips is responding to these challenges through the development of solutions such as Ingenia Elition to improve image quality and the patient and staff experience, as well as operational efficiency.”

“VitalEye technology and algorithms simultaneously process more than 200 body locations and extract signs of breathing.”

The system employs VitalScreen to ensure fully guided patient setup and VitalEye technology for patient sensing and respiratory signal without any need for action on part of the operator.

According to the firm, VitalEye technology and algorithms simultaneously process more than 200 body locations and extract signs of breathing, reducing the exam set-up time to less than a minute.

Philips also integrated Ingenia Elition with its Ambient Experience and in-bore Connect solution designed to provide immersive audio-visual experience for calming and guiding patients throughout the MR exam.
