The Covid-19 pandemic has led to a global shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for clinicians, in particular surgical and N95 masks. CleanDefense should allow these masks to be reused, without the risk of improper decontamination techniques leading to viral load build-up on the masks and placing users at risk.

CleanDefense can clean four masks at once in a one- to two-minute cycle, with the capacity to decontaminate up to 100 masks per hour.
