Autocam Medical is a single-source provider of complex, highly engineered components for medical device applications. Our specialties include high-precision implants, instruments, hand pieces, components and subassemblies for medical device applications.

We are a member of the global network of Autocam companies; our parent corporation was founded in 1988 and includes state-of-the-art facilities in Europe, Asia, South America and North America. Our company has decades of experience in every aspect of high-precision machining and manufacturing, especially CNC precision milling (three, four and five axis) and turning (both fixed headstock and Swiss). Autocam Medical is focused on meeting the unique needs of medical customers for medical device components featuring rapid prototyping, high precision, cleanliness, close tolerances and a superior finish. Starting from the very first piece, Autocam Medical builds patient-critical quality into every aspect of our manufacturing process.

Surgical and general medical components and subassemblies

Our company manufactures precision and ultra-precision components and subassemblies for a wide variety of surgical and general medical applications, including:

  • Implants: including highly polished metal-on-metal surfaces for hips, shoulders and disks, as well as complex bone plates and screws; we also make components for cardiac and other surgical procedures in compliance with FDA guidelines
  • Instruments: instruments used in reconstructive, spine, sports medicine, trauma, arthroscopic and endoscopic procedures; we specialize in products such as drills, drill guides, taps and reamers
  • Hand pieces: FDA-compliant components for hand pieces used in phacoemulsification, vitrectomy, orthopedic, endoscopic and general surgical procedures
  • Components / subassemblies: high-precision components as small as less than 2mm in length for ophthalmic, diagnostic, endoscopic, cardiovascular and general surgical procedures

Materials for medical device components

We machine all medical grades of stainless steel, titanium, cobalt chrome moly (CCM/CCM+), nitinol (NiTi), exotic alloys, aluminum, brass, PEEK and polyethylene (UHMPE and cross-linked polyethylene).
